Bike Hire
At Coed Cae we have a small number of rental bikes, tag-alongs and trailers for use on the Mawddach Trail and the quiet back roads of the Mawddach Estuary.
Our range of bikes includes not only a number of standard bikes, but also a tandem, a child's bike, a child's trailer, a one-wheel tag-along, a two-wheel tag-along (suitable for larger children and adults), a single-wheel tandem tagalong and two e-bikes. With all that on offer, there should be enough equipment to get the whole family rolling.
As well as the bike, we will provide cycle helmets, spare inner tubes and bike locks.
Why not rent a bike for the day and explore Barmouth and Dolgellau via the picturesque Mawddach Trail?
We also sell the popular "Mawddach Trail Guide - The Railway Walk" helping you understand the history of the area and explaining a little about what you see en-route.
You can ride straight to the trail from Coed Cae, over the Penmaenpool toll bridge to the iconic George III pub and join the Mawddach Trail 3 miles from Dolgellau, to the East and 8 miles from Barmouth, to the West.
Please note that bikes are to be ridden from Coed Cae and may not be loaded onto or into vehicles or trailers. We have free on-site parking for customers, saving you the hassle and cost of parking in the town car parks.
Will you have the energy to pedal up our steep driveway at the end of your day out ?
Pre-Booking is essential.
