The Monteverdi Singers The Monteverdi
Singers is a large chamber choir which draws its members from across
North Wales. Its extensive repertoire extends from the Reformation to
the present day including works it has commissioned from Sebastian Forbes
and John Hywel, and from a cappella works to major orchestral pieces
such as ‘The Kingdom’ of Elgar (performed for UCNW’s ‘Music at Bangor’
series in December 2012), the Verdi ‘Requiem’, and Will Todd's jazz
‘Mass in Blue’. The choir, based in Bangor, has performed e.g. The ‘Symphony
for Voices’ of Williamson in Holyhead, Britten’s ‘Hymn to the Virgin’
in Ruthin, and ‘Messiah’ both in Dolgellau and with the ‘Liverpool Phil’
in Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Earlier this year they gave their 28th
consecutive performance at the Beaumaris Festival. |

The Beat Beatles Formed in 2002,
The Beat Beatles wowed television auditions with their appearance on
Stars in Their Eyes Kids. Since then, their youth and charismatic tribute
to the fab four is second to none and continues to amaze audiences.
Covering the vast spectrum of songs, the lads rewind the clocks back to the early days of The Cavern Club in Liverpool where the fab four started, to the Royal Variety performance in 1963, to the famous Shea Stadium US concert in 1965, right through to The Abbey Road rooftop performance of 1969. In addition to the great costumes The Beat Beatles use identical instruments, amplifiers, and period guitars. Unlike so many other Tributes The Beat Beatles are actually born and bred Liverpool lads! |
