The pretty market town of Dolgellau (pronounced Dol-geth-lie) was once the administrative centre for the county of Merioneth. It retains a weekly livestock market and the narrow streets of the town have plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Dolgellau Map and Directions
The main car park beside the Marian playing fields has public toilets and there is a Tourist Information office on the towns’ main square.
The town has over 200 listed buildings, and a Town Trail Map (available from the Dolgellau Tourist Information Office) will guide you around the key features.
Dolgellau is a midpoint on Section B of the Mawddach Way and the start or finish of the Mawddach Trail. Bike Hire is available in the town.
