The old village of Llanelltyd (pronounced approximately as Clan-ech-tyd) sits at the junction of roads and rivers, and for centuries was the first bridging point of the river Mawddach from the coast.
The Church, Bridge and nearby Abbey date back hundreds of years, and are each well worthy of a visit.
There are no shops here but there is a restaurant with outside seating. Public toilets and parking are available beside Llanelltyd bridge. Llanelltyd Map & Directions
