Llanelltyd Visitor Information
The old village of Llanelltyd (pronounced approximately as Clan-ech-tyd) sits at the junction of roads and rivers, and for centuries was the first bridging point of the river Mawddach from the coast.

The Church, Bridge and nearby Cymer Abbey date back hundreds of years, and are each well worthy of a visit. Further information and downloadable audio guides to the Abbey can be found here.

There are no shops here but there is a restaurant with outside seating. Public toilets and parking are available beside Llanelltyd bridge. Llanelltyd Map & Directions

For something a little different, why not explore some of the remains of 20th century military activity in the area. From hill-top memorials to beach defences, there are over 50 different sites in and around the Mawddach Estuary to be explored on foot, by bike or by car. See here for further details.
